Members of staff may purchase Microsoft
software at academic prices. Staff may opt for any of the following purchasing options:
- Full Package Products (FPPs)
- Additional Licence Only
- Full Package Products (FPP)
- The FPPs may be purchased by members
of staff at an academic price. The FPPs contain CD/s, accompanying
manual/s and a licence to use the software on a single machine for academic
purposes only.
- Note that according to the conditions
set forth in the END-USER LICENCE AGREEMENT FOR MICROSOFT SOFTWARE
the purchaser of the FPP software can also install the software for his/her
exclusive use on a portable computer.
- To purchase the FPP, complete the
form – MICROSOFT ACADEMIC EDITION SOFTWARE – FULL PACKAGE PRODUCTS available
from IT Services User Support Office.
- Additional Licence Only (OLP)
- Staff members of faculties or departments
who have acquired the full package product of a particular software, can purchase additional
licences to cover use of that software on other computers. The CD/s and accompanying manual/s
are not covered under this option.
- The cost of the licence is different
for each Microsoft product. Arrangements can be made with the member
of staff responsible for IT in your faculty or department to have the software
installed on your computer.
- To purchase the additional licence
only, complete the form - MICROSOFT ACADEMIC EDITION SOFTWARE – ADDITIONAL
LICENCE ONLY available from the member of staff responsible for IT in your
faculty or department. The form can also be collected from IT Services User
Support Office.
